The Enterprise and Opportunity Fund was created in response to ongoing restrictions on women’s work in Afghanistan, which have limited access to income for many girls and women. Despite these challenges, many still have skills, ideas, and the determination to build better futures for themselves and their families. This initiative provides small grants and mentorship to help them start or grow home-based or online businesses, turning their skills into income and supporting greater independence and opportunity.

Deadline: May 15, 2026
We are excited to launch the Let Her Learn Micro-Grant Initiative, a small but meaningful step to support girls in Afghanistan in turning their skills and ideas into real opportunities. This initiative is part of our broader effort to expand access to education while also creating pathways for income and independence.
Many girls have talent, creativity, and strong motivation, but face significant barriers to getting started. In the current environment, access to work and income has become increasingly limited, making it difficult for many to support themselves or their families. Even small startup costs, such as materials, tools, or internet access, can prevent girls from taking the first step.
This initiative aims to remove that barrier by providing small financial support along with guidance and mentorship. By helping girls turn their skills into income, it creates an opportunity for greater independence, confidence, and long-term stability.
